Question:
Regarding some 5th wheel hitches__some have a quick disconnect twist and lock bolt or arm assembly that secures the entire 5th wheel hitch assembly to the bed or the truck__which eliminates the traditional nut and bolt-to-the-frame exercise. My question is do you have those twist to lock assemblies ? or know somewhere you can get them ? I have a 2022Ford F-250 with the factory installed pucks already installed in the bed of the truck, along with a factory installed gooseneck ball accommodation. E-trailer is the only company I know of that has virtually everything hitch and trailer related. Thanks__

Hello Gerard,
I am not sure if you already have a 5th wheel hitch that you are trying to convert over to the OEM Prep Package, or if you are in the market to buy a new hitch.
If you already have a 5th wheel hitch, what we would need to do in order for you to be able to use it in your OEM Prep Package is to get a new base. They do not make an adapter to add to a 5th wheel hitch in order to use it in the pucks.
If you are in the market for you a new 5th wheel hitch, if will depend on whether you have an 8' bed or 6 3/4" on which hitch you will need. You will want one of the following:
- For 6 3/4' Bed: B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w Slider for Ford Towing Prep Package - Dual Jaw - 20K # BWRVK3370
- 8' Bed: B&W Companion OEM 5th-Wheel Hitch for Ford Super Duty Prep Package - Dual Jaw - 20,000 lbs # BWRVK3300
If you are looking to adapt your current hitch, please let me know what kind of hitch you have and what size bed. It is recommended that if you have a 6 3/4' bed you go with a sliding hitch to ensure that you have the clearance needed for those sharp turns, no one wants to ruin a perfectly good trip by taking out the cab of your truck.
I look forward to hearing back for you so we can perfect your set-up.
