Do You Have A Bolt On Bumper For My Camper That Is Capable Of Towing?

Updated 09/08/2025 | Published 06/09/2025

Question:

I have a camper with a thin wall bumper and would like to switch it out to one capable of towing a light trailer with a quad. My camper has z-channel frame rails about 68.5 web to web. Is there a bolt on bumper that will work for z-channel frames?

Hey Steve,

We do not carry bumpers for trailers/RVs that are going to be rated for towing. What I recommend is going with a frame mounted hitch like # 82201 that would bolt or weld onto your frame which sounds like its 68-1/2" wide. That hitch is a straight beam hitch rated for 3,500lbs of towing which is great for a small trailer like you need.

One thing I would check on your camper is whether or not the bumper sits flush with the frame or if there is a gap. If the bumper and frame rails are flush you are going to need a hitch with a drop since the Draw-Tite # 82201 is a straight beam it would interfere.

Let me know more about your camper and if you have room between your bumper and I can try and find something better for you.

Hey Steve, did you have a chance to check if your camper's bumper sits flush with the frame or if there's a gap? I'm asking because I want to make sure we find the best solution for your setup.
