Looking For New Hangers And Springs For 2011 Karavan Trailer

Updated 09/08/2025 | Published 06/09/2025

Question:

I have a circa 2011 karavan double position pwc trailer and need new hangers and springs. Trailer has a 2” square axle. Current hangers are bolted on. Looking for recommendations and guidance. Existing springs are 3 leaf 26.25” long single hook type.

Hello Andy, thanks for reaching out. We do carry a leaf spring that may work for you, but I will need to know the weight capacity of your axle to make sure the spring is correctly rated for your trailer.

For example, the 4-Leaf Slipper Spring w/ Hook End # SP-230275 is 26-5/8" long and is rated for a 4,000 lb trailer axle. The 3/8" length difference is within acceptable tolerance, so this will be a good option for you as long as your axle is also 4,000 lb rated. Otherwise, the spring could be too soft or too stiff.

As far as the hangers, we do want to try to match the current hanger height. Is your trailer a single or tandem axle? Can you measure the height of the current front, rear and center hangers? Measure from the center of the bolt hole to the top of the hanger. If you are needing to replace your equalizer I will need hole-to-hole measurements for that too.

For example, the Single-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for 2" Slipper Springs # APS6SE comes with 3-3/4" tall front hangers and 5-5/16" tall rear hangers.

Reply on this page with those measurements and I am happy to look into it.

Hey Andy, did you have a chance to find out the weight capacity of your axle and measure the hanger heights? I'm here to help you find the right parts for your trailer.
