Will EcoHitch 306-X7315 Be Okay For Pulling Small Trailer With Two Motorscooters?

Question:
Would the EcoHitch for 2015 VW TDI Sportwagen be okay for pulling a small ~380lb motorcycle trailer loaded with up to two motorscooters weighing up to 550 lbs ~275lbs each? If not, is there a hitch you would recommend?

Hello Syd, thanks for reaching out. The EcoHitch # 306-X7315 for the 2015 VW Sportwagen TDI has a 2,000 lb towing capacity. So this would absolutely be suitable for a 380 lb motorcycle trailer and two bikes. As long as the combined weight of the trailer and both scooters is less than 2,000 lbs you will be fine. It sounds like you will be well under 2,000 lbs so the # 306-X7315 will work well for you.
If you intend to tow a trailer you will also need the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter # C59236.
What kind of scooters do you have? Just curious
