For the Hollywood bike rack model HLY74FR can the platform and base be separated? I want to store tbe rack flat against the wall when not in use. Thank you.

Hello Thomas, thanks for reaching out. In regards to the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack # HLY74FR it is possible to remove the platform from the base. You would have to remove the pivot bolt each time you do this though. It is not necessarily recommended to remove and reinstall this hardware repeatedly.
I am not sure what your storage situation is like, but a better option would be to use a wall mount storage rack like part # C97DR. This screws to the wall of your garage or shed and has a 2" receiver for storing the bike rack.
