Availability Of Trailer Hitch For 1998 BMW 323is Coupe E36 Chassis

Question:
Hi there, I’m interested in the Curt Class I Trailer Hitch 1-1/4” listed as fitting the 1999 BMW 3 Series. I have a 1998 BMW 323is coupe E36 chassis, and I was wondering if this hitch would also be compatible with my vehicle. I’ve seen similar installs using the spare tire well mounting method and want to make sure it will bolt up correctly. Thanks in advance for your help! Best

Hello Zach, thanks for reaching out. The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11174 you were looking at is only for the 1999 BMW 3 Series Sedan. This will not fit the 1998 BMW 323is coupe E36 chassis. Sadly there is not a hitch available for your vehicle. If you need to carry cargo a roof rack and roof mounted carrier would be your best option.
