Trouble Removing Custom K-Source Mirrors From a 2024 Ford F-150
Updated 05/29/2025 | Published 05/24/2025 >
Question:
I do like the extension mirrors for our 2024 f150. Purchased the ones that look just like our side mirrors when attached. But how do you remove them when you are not towing. We cant seem to get them off? We figured it would release from the bottom front of mirror, but we can not budge the front lower tab.

Hey Sandra, thanks for reaching out!
You're definitely doing the right thing by trying to pull down the front tab of the K-Source Snap & Zap Custom Towing Mirrors # KS69NQ to remove them from your 2024 Ford F-150.
The slip-on mirrors are great because they fit super snug, but they can be a bit of a bear to pull back off of the truck. You'll need to pry from the bottom of the mirrors and basically install it in "reverse" to take it off, which it sounds like what you're already trying to do.
You might try letting someone else remove them, but also it wouldn't hurt to leave them on full-time either. You'd probably just want to avoid an automatic car wash that touches your vehicle so it doesn't knock them off.

set the truck out in the sun, then tried again, got both of them off. thank you, I was hoping that the plastic just needed to be warmed up and it did.
