Having Trouble Acheiving A Level Ride Towing A 5th Wheel On my 2025 Chevy 2500hd

Updated 09/12/2025 | Published 05/17/2025

Question:

I have a 2021 28 ft puma fifth wheel and am having problems getting a level ride. I have a new 2025 silverado 2500hd lt with 20 wheels. Is there a way to lift the rv that would help level it out. Im using a andersen ultimate goose neck. Thanks

Hey Scott,

There is a way to lift the trailer to gain height on it. The only kit that we have is # RR23QX, which is going to raise that trailer 2". If you need more than 2" I recommend checking that the trailers pin box is on the correct bolt holts for it to sit level. There is another option of getting taller tires on the trailer, but not every trailer has the ability, and space in the wheel well to do this.

Depending on your size axle and where your leaf springs sit, we do have over/under kits which would flip your leaf springs from under the axle to over the axle. This would raise it more than the lift kit, but its all based off of your current suspension layout. # K71-384-00 is a great kit for round 2-3/8" axles.

Is the issue with it not being level more in the truck sitting too high for the trailer even with the hitch ball at its lowest setting? Or is the trailer putting weight on the back and making the truck sag in the bag? If its just a matter of the truck sagging there are different solutions for that.

Hey Scott, Did you have a chance to try the lift kit to see if it helped level your trailer? I'm curious to know if it resolved the issue, as it could help others facing a similar challenge.
