Question:

hi I have a 2021 Mercedes E class. I have Mercedes cross bars, which I think are Thule. I’m looking for a wind deflector. I tried Thule and it didn’t fit right, did not lay flat with the roof and bounced around. I also tried Yakima. The piece that attached to the cross bar doesn’t fit. End to end is 43.5 “ wide, top, exposed aluminum is 35.5”. Do you have a windshield that will work? Thanks!

Hey Orryn,

Thule does make most of Mercedes factory roof racks and crossbars. I am not sure what Thule fairing you tried before but I recommend the # TH82WV, Thule AirScreen XT. Being 44" wide this is going to fit the width that you need. Since the one you tried before did not fit, I recommend double checking the size of your crossbars. This fairing is meant to fit crossbars that are 3 1/4" long x 1 1/8" tall. If your crossbars are that measurement this one is going to be a good option for you and work with those factory crossbars.

What Thule or Yakima fairing have you previously tried?

Hi Yes, I did try this version from Thule. The issue is that it would lay flat on my roof since the screen is curved. I confirm this issue with Thule. Will a Gorilla model work? Thanks Orryn

@OrrynS I see, since the fairing was curved it wasn't sitting right on the vehicle. I am happy to take a look at the Gorilla model to see, do you know a model number of it? I am not finding it on our website so if you have a model number I can take a look and see how that will work for you.

@OrrynS Sorry, this is it. Wasn’t sure about the length.

@Orryn I don't see a model number or photo. Were you referring to the part I mentioned earlier to being it? Part # TH82WV?
