Question:
I installed the EZ Light Wiring Harness Part Number: BX88285 with DM9523054 Demco 7-Wire to 6-Wire Coiled Electrical Cord w/ 6-Way Round Plug - 7 Long. When plugged into tow vehicle there is power at the 6 wire plug on the vehicle being towed but no power getting to the rear lights. Please let me know any troubleshooting suggestions. Hello Derek, thanks for reaching out. It could be an issue with the module on the # BX88285 EZ Light Wiring Harness. It is rare but not unheard of for the modules to go bad. What you do is take a wire tester and check the input and output wires on the module. If the input signal is good, but the output is not, the module is bad and will need to be replaced.
Honestly, these EZ harnesses are notorious for having issues so I typically recommend using a diode kit instead. They are just way more reliable.

Hey Derek, did you have a chance to test the module on your EZ Light Wiring Harness? I’d love to know how it went, as it could help others facing similar issues with their wiring setup.
