Question:
This model isn’t shown on the Active Controls website. Has it been discontinued? Second question so it is both a surge protector and a soft start in one, how much does it reduce the starting watts on a 15k BTU Furrion Chill Cube? Trying to figure out if my Honda 2000i can start it.

Hey Lorie!
The Active Controls ActiveStart # AS94FR on our site is the same as the model ACS30PS on the Active Controls website.
According to their research you need a generator with a 2,500 watt rating in order to handle the startup power needs of a 15K Btu AC unit, and your Honda 2000i is rated for 2,000 starting watts - so you'll need something a little bigger.
In order to get things working you can either get another Honda generator and use a parallel kit to get enough starting power, or you can get our 4,500-Watt Portable RV Generator # 333-0005 which has more than enough power for your AC unit.
Would you rather stick with a parallel kit, or get a new generator?
