What RV Power Converter do I Need to Replace my PD4560K12L that Isn't Charging Batteries?

Question:

I have a 2012 Hart horse trailer with a rv conversion done by Outlaw Conversions in Stephenville, TX. My problem is the Progressive Dynamic converter is not charging the house batteries, the model is PD4560K 12L. What model should I replace it with ? Thanks,

Hello Mike,

I am curious on what kind of batteries you are trying to charge, if they are Lithium batteries that would explain why it is not working.

If you have lead-acid batteries (flooded or AGM) I would just swap out the converter section with the Progressive Dynamics REL 60A 4500 Series Inteli-Power Converter Section # PD4560CSV.

If you have Lithium batteries then you will want to swap out the whole unit for the Progressive Dynamics 4500 Series RV Converter w/ Charge Wizard and AC/DC Distribution Panel - 60 Amp # PD4560K18LS8.

So what kind of batteries do you have?
