Hello Brad,

The only option we have for you is to go with a higher rated axle, since the 4,400 lb axles aren't very common anymore.

You’ll want the Dexter Trailer Axle w/ Electric Brakes - E-Z Lube - 6 on 5-1/2 Bolt Pattern - 86-1/2" - 5.2K # 8327816-EB. The spring seats on this axle are at 71-1/2", so you’ll need to buy (2) of the Spring Seat for Typical 5,200-lb to 7,200-lb, Round Trailer Axles with 3" Diameter #TRSS300 and have them welded in place at the 68-1/2" spots you need.

If you want the axle without hubs and brakes, you’ll need the Dexter Trailer Axle Beam with E-Z Lube Spindles - 86-1/2" Long - 5,200 lbs #8327816.

I attached a video that shows exactly how to measure your axle, it's important that the measurements are accurate.

This setup will work for you as long as your hubface measurement is correct, but it will take a little bit of modification.

Did something happen to your axle, or did it just wear out over time?
