I want to replace my standard axle. To one with trailer brakes, how do I measure

Hey Michael, to replace trailer axles you need to know the distance from hub face to hub face and then also the distance between the spring seat centers. You might see if your current axles have brake flanges already as you might be able to just swap to new hub/drums and assemblies to add brakes. I attached a picture of what the flanges look like as well as a link to a page that has info on what's needed to add brakes to a trailer axle as well.
