Good question. The DeeMaxx Alpha G1600 Plug and Play Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator # DE75KR works with 2017–2022 GM trucks that have built-in brake controllers, like the Silverado and Sierra. It’s built to “trick” the truck into thinking it’s using regular electric brakes, so it works smoothly even with GM’s picky systems. Some trucks have a setting for electric over hydraulic brakes, but even if yours doesn’t, it should still work fine. It’s easy to hook up, but make sure your trailer wiring is right and the brake fluid system is properly bled so everything works like it should.
