I was wondering if there are shorter versions of these shanks. I have the swagman traveler xc2. I was wondering if there is a shorter one made for them. Mine is approximately 18 inches.

No, I am sorry there is not. Since you have a the Swagman Traveler XC2 the only option is the Replacement 2" Shank for Swagman XC Series 2 Bike Carriers item # P249 if your bike rack was made before 2008. If your bike rack was made afterwards then all we have is item # P306.
The Replacement 2" Shank item # SP329 is designed specifically for the Swagman XTC4 4-Bike Rack item # S64665.
