Question:

What grease do you use on the etrailer AKHD-545-35-EZ hubs? If I add grease, I want to use the same kind of grease.

Hello Rodney, thanks for reaching out. The Easy Grease Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K uses a lithium complex grease. This is compatible with a few different greases, but what I recommend is the LubriMatic LMX Industrial Strength Grease - 14 oz. Cartridge # L11390 as it does a really great job of keeping the bearings protected and will not break down if exposed to water.

Hey Rodney, how did the LubriMatic LMX grease work out with your Easy Grease hub and drum assembly? Your update could make it easier for the next person trying to match the right grease for their bearings.

@JesseM As the drums I bought came with pre-greased bearings, my main concern was that they had plenty of grease (they did) and what type of grease was compatible for when I do a bearing re-pack. I will get the LubriMatic LMX when it's time for the re-pack. Probably in the spring. Thanks for the follow up.
