Correct Trailer Hitch Fit for a 2014 Jeep Cherokee Sport

Hello my wife has a 2014 jeep cherokee sport. Will this hitch bolt on without any modifications? 75838

Hey Chase, thanks for reaching out!

The Draw-Tite Max-Frame # 75838 is actually designed for a 2014 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk, so since your wife has a Sport model, you'll want to use the etrailer # e38AR instead.

This hitch requires absolutely no drilling/modifying the frame, and the fascia will be untouched as well. It's a pretty straightforward installation, and if you check out the linked video you can see Brad do the install on a 2019 Cherokee.

What do you plan on using the hitch for?

That's great to know thank you. It'll be used for bike racks, cargo platforms and the occasional john boat

@Chase Sweet! In that case, I also recommend installing the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118605 while you're at it. This way you get everything installed on a project day and your Jeep is good to go as soon as you need to tow the John Boat. If you pick up the wiring brackets # 18136 and # 18144 you can also secure the 4-Way next to the hitch receiver for easy access. And then if you don't have a ball mount, I really like the etrailer Adjustable # e66PR because it's simple and effective. Do you already have a bike rack and cargo carrier? If not, I can get you squared away on that front as well!
