How to Tell if RoadActive Suspension Kit Will Fit a 2017 Toyota Tundra with Icon Expansion Kit

Updated 10/22/2025 | Published 03/28/2025

Question:

Hi. I have a 17 Tundra 4x4 with an Icon expansion leaf pack that is sagging a bit, especially when towing. Since it removes 2 stock leaves and replaced with 3 more progressive ones, the unloaded ride is still great. It looks like a roadacvtive system can still be added to help with towing, but wanted to reach out to confirm before buying. Can you confirm that the RAS system will work with a slightly thicker leaf pack due to using the icon system? Thanks!

Hey Matt, thanks for reaching out!

As long as the radius of where your leaf spring stack connects to your vehicle is the same as the OEM then the RoadActive Suspension Kit # RAS4611TD will fit and work great.

If that changed, then I recommend checking out the SumoSprings # SSR-610-54 which sits on top of the leaf springs and offers extra support, up to 2,800 lbs (although it doesn't increase your weight rating).

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Hey Matt, how did things turn out with the RoadActive Suspension on your Tundra’s Icon leaf pack? Did it give you the extra support you needed when towing? Your update could make it easier for others with a similar setup.
