How to Splice in 3-Wire Pigtail to a 5-Wire Setup

Question:

your 426 connector is 3 wire mine is 5 wire on a 3 prong plug, 2 brown, 2 white 1 yellow on both lights, I also have a side marker light on the fenders brown and white wires, how do i splice in your connector?

Hey Edward, all you need to do to use the 3-Wire Pigtail for Peterson Trailer Lights # 431-491 with your 5-wire light is to identify the hot, neutral and ground and splice them accordingly to the new pigtail. Once those three wires are identified and spliced, the other wires can get capped and tucked away.

Had to change out the whole system with new harness.

@EdwardL Well dang, sorry about that. Wiring can be a pain in the butt sometimes (or all the times). Is everything working as it should now?
