Redarc Brake Controller Blue Light Stays On When Trailer Is Connected

Question:
I have the plug and play liberty on my Tacoma. With my trailer connected a dim blue light stays on. Looking through the window. Is this normal?

Hello John, thanks for reaching out. The blue light on your Redarc brake controller indicates the controller is calibrated and is in proportional mode. It would be normal for this to stay on with the trailer connected. If it were flashing any color other than blue or green that could indicate a problem. The solid blue light is normal though.
