Can I Upgrade My B&W Companion 5th Wheel Hitch From 20K to 25K?

Question:
I have a BandW Companion 5thWheel hitch with 20K towing capacity. Can I upgrade to the 25K head using the same 20K base to increase my towing capacity? Is it compatible?

Hello Tim, thanks for reaching out. It is possible to upgrade the capacity of your B&W Companion hitch. You would just need to get a new base for your hitch. The head unit part # BWRVC3006 is the same on both the 20K and 25K versions of the Companion hitch, but the bases are different.
What truck is this going in? Reply below and let me know and I can recommend the correct base. I will also need to know your bed size.
