Question:
Does this need to be permanently mounted in an RV? Will the door stay shut during travel?

Hey Chet, the Hotpoint RV Mini Fridge part # GE93FR does not need to be attached to the floor of your RV nor does it need any special door latch. The magnet on the door is powerful enough as well as the door being lighter in weight that it won't swing open when travelling.
