What Are the Differences Between the Tekonsha Tow Pro Elite and the Tow Pro Trail

Question:
Hello, I have a 2023 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road. It has the factory tow package so I know this Redarc brake controller will work for me. My question is on there website they now show a Tow-Pro Trail. It looks very similar to the Tow-Pro Elite. Can you tell me what the difference is between the two. Ive reached out to Redarc with no response.

Hey Kyle, great question! I did some research, and it looks like the two brake controllers are practically the same. They both have plug and play installs, they both have SwayStop Control, and they both have two braking modes. The only difference is that the Tow Pro Trail is specifically designed to be used off-road, and the Tow Pro Elite is not.
So I'd say if you're planning on being off-road a lot, then the Tow Pro Trail is what I'd use, otherwise the Tow Por elite is the way. If you have any other questions, please feel free to drop a comment and let me know!
