Can I install a cargo box on the crossbars? It looks like they are standard size and have T slot channel on top. If so, what options do I have?

Hello Josh. Yes, you can install a cargo box on the crossbars of the Yakima LowRider Kayak Trailer # Y82QD. The LowRider crossbars are the Yakima HD Crossbars part # Y01159, which are 78" long, 3" wide and 1-1/2" tall. These will be compatible with virtually any rooftop cargo box that attaches to crossbars. You will just need to make sure the cargo box will work with a 36" crossbar spread, since this is the minimum crossbar spread for the LowRider trailer. Most cargo boxes from major brands like Yakima or Thule will be compatible. Here are some of the best options:

- Yakima SkyBox NX 18 Rooftop Cargo Box - 18 cu ft - Black Nano-Texture # Y45AV
