What Wiring Harness For 2025 Kia Sportage Has The Correct Length Wires?

Updated 10/30/2025 | Published 02/19/2025

Question:

Im looking at the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector Part : C99DR. I saw many customers complaining about the wires being too short. Has this been corrected? I DONOT want to purchase anything that I need to make adjustments to it to make it fit properly.

Hello Gary, thanks for reaching out. This is a known issue with the Curt # C99DR wiring harness on the 2025 Kia Sportage. Curt is aware of it too, but as of right now, no changes have been made to the harness or to the length of the wire leads. It sounds like some people have been able to get it to work without modification, but not everyone. It looks like when we last installed one here, our tech elected to use some additional wire and heat shrink butt connectors to make things easier. The # C99DR is the only wiring harness Curt makes for the 2025 Sportage.

We do also offer the # TK32VR from Tekonsha, which is also for the 2025 Sportage. According to the reviews from our customers, the Tekonsha does have the correct length wires and does not require any splicing. We have not installed one here yet and confirmed this, but based on the feedback we are getting, the # TK32VR will be the better option for you. Take a look at the review I screenshotted below. You can ignore the part about the fuse box, unless your vehicle is actually the Hybrid.

Hey Gary, did the Tekonsha wiring harness end up giving you the wire length you needed for your Sportage? Knowing how it worked out could help others trying to avoid the same short-wire issue.
