Overall Hitch Ball Height for B&W Ball and Safety Chain Kit on a 2024 Ram 3500

Question:

Im looking at the BandW OEM gooseneck ball and safety chain kit for my 2024 Ram 3500. My question is, What is the overall height of the ball? My current Curt ball is 6 3/4 inches overall height from bottom of the shank to the top of the ball.

The gooseneck ball in the B&W Ball and Safety Chain Kit # BWGNXA2062 has an 8-1/2" overall height, which you can see in the attached photo.

Just curious why you're needing to know the overall height? Do you have a specific coupler that needs a taller hitch ball?

@JonG I was calculating the height above the truck rails to the 5th part of my trailer. I changed from a standard 5th wheel hitch to the Gen Y executive gooseneck hitch. The B&W ball worked perfectly with my set up. Also, I wanted to calculate how much added height I would have to extend my front trailer Jack's in order to clear the added ball height. Everything worked out perfect and I love the Gen Y hitch and B&W ball setup.
