How much does it weigh and the weight of a comparable pullrite? Im using it in a 2023 ram 3500 6.5 ft bed with OEM puck system.

Hello Charles, thanks for getting in touch. The Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # DM8550034 weighs 277 lbs. The head unit can be separated from the base, and the head weight about 60 lbs by itself.

The comparable Pullrite slider, part # PUL28RR, weighs about 304 lbs.

The main advantage of the Pullrite is how easily the head turns and slides. You can easily move it by yourself with one hand. The Demco cannot be moved by hand, and can only be moved by the full weight of the trailer. This makes things tough if you ever have to disconnect at an angle, because you would have to hitch up at that exact same angle. With the Pullrite you can re center the head easily, so this would never be an issue. Both hitches will fit the puck system in your 2023 Ram 3500.
