Can Trailer Valet JXS Jack Attach to 6 inch Tall Trailer Frame
Updated 10/30/2025 | Published 02/09/2025 >
Question:
How will I mount this jack to a 2x6 trailer frame since the top and bottom hole are only 5” apart. Is there a better option for 2x6 frames? Thanks

Hey Stephen, you could use the Trailer Valet JXS Drill Powered Swivel Trailer # TV64FR on a 6 inch tall trailer frame but you would have to weld it since the holes are not spaced far enough apart. We don't have any bolt on jacks that are designed for a 6 inch tall frame so welding would be what you'd have to do. We have jacks that have brackets designed to be welded on like the # FTJ120W0301 as well.
Or, you could use the mounting bracket of the Trailer Valet jack as a template and drill holes through the frame to attach the bracket. Would that be something you'd be interested in doing?

Hey Stephen, how did things go with mounting the jack on your 2x6 trailer frame? Did you end up welding it or using the bracket as a template to drill new holes? Your update could make it easier for others working with taller trailer frames.
