Parts Needed to Add Dual 20 lb Propane Tanks to Utility Trailer Camper Conversion

Updated 10/30/2025 | Published 02/08/2025

Question:

Hello, Im finishing build on a camper conversion of a 6 x 10 utility trailer. I want to install a dual 20 propane tank holder assembly, regulator, plastic tank cover, and 15ft hose to make it to the rear of the camper. Parts should be white if possible. I would like all parts to have a turnkey system. Thank you, Wayne

Hey Wayne! In addition to the parts you listed you will also need two pigtail hoses to connect to your propane tanks. Also, we do not have a dual plastic tank cover so that is something you will have to source elsewhere. I recommend the following:

-Complete Propane Tank Holder Mounting Kit for 20-lb Tanks - White # 37220WH

-JR Products Automatic Changeover 2-Stage Propane Regulator # 37207-30395

-MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail w/ Back Check # 100473-12 (two of these)

-MB Sturgis Propane Hose - 3/8" Male NPT x 3/8" Female Flare Swivel - 12' # 100040-144-MBS (the longest we have for this setup)

When you say turnkey are you referring to a shut-off valve/lever? The only parts we carry with those levers are quick disconnects and tees. I'm willing to bet if you went to your local hardware store you could find some fittings with valves that could be installed in-line with different parts. If you want some kind of protection on the pigtail hoses you can use the GasStop Emergency Propane Shut-Off Valve Gauges w/ GasGear 12" Propane Hoses # GS39FR

Hey Wayne, how did your propane setup for the camper conversion turn out with the white tank holder and regulator? Your update could make it easier for the next person planning a similar build.
