Recommended Hitch for a 2014 Honda CR-V

Question:

Good morning - I am looking for a 2” hitch to be installed on a 2014 Honda CR-V - this to be able to get a Hollywood bike rack with two electric bikes on the back of the car. Wondering whether the under the bumper mount allows for enough ground clearance - or should a through the bumper be considered? Do you coordinate install service providers as well? Looking for installer closest to Lake Wales Florida. Or would I pursue the hitch and install through this service provider? Thanks for your assistance!

Hey Walter! We don't have any through the bumper hitch options for the 2014 Honda CR-V. You will have plenty of height clearance with the etrailer Hitch item # e98868 you were looking at though. The lowest part of the receiver sits 11-1/4" above the ground so it's high enough to not have to worry about scraping but not to high to worry about loading your e-bikes.

We do have installers in your area though. What you'll want to do is scroll down past the pictures and videos on the item # e98868 product page and click on the link that says Schedule An Installation. You'll be prompted to input your zip code. Once you've done this you will be linked to our network of reputable installers in your area.

Hey Walter, how did things go with the etrailer hitch and the installation near Lake Wales? Were you able to get everything set up for your Hollywood bike rack and e-bikes? Your update could make it easier for others planning a similar setup.
