What do I Need to Convert My Electric Brakes to Disc Brakes on My 2024 Dutchman 36 with DeeMaxx?

Question:

Hello Im considering the Deemaxx conversion from electric to hydraulic. I have a fresh off the lot 2024 Dutchman 36 5th wheel with 6 lug Dexter 5100 lbs axles. I do not see as a kit on your sight. Can you build me a kit from this information. Also my truck is a 2024 GMC Denali 2500 HD with towing package. Thanks for your help. PS. I have pics of the axle sticker and of the axle stamped number.

Hello Richard,

Congrats on the new 2024 Dutchman 36 5th wheel! What is your favorite new feature?

Looking to make the swap over to disc brakes, you will not be disappointed. Here is the set-up you will want with the DeeMaxx brakes:

- (2) sets of the DeeMaxx Disc Brake Kit - 12" Hub/Rotor - 6 on 5-1/2 - Maxx Coating - 6,000 lbs # DE28YR (these only come in a 1/2" stud)

- DeeMaxx Hydraulic Brake Line Kit - Tandem Axle - 20' # DE57SR

- DeeMaxx Alpha G1600 Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator for Disc Brakes - 1,600 psi # DE47SR

That will get you everything you need. I know you said that you have 5,100 pound axles but they use the same bearings as the 6K brakes # DE28YR: outer bearing 15123, and inner bearing 25580.

Your 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 should have the EOH (Electric Over Hydraulic) setting in your OEM brake controller, if for some reason it does not please let me know.

I've included some awesome videos that Brad put together for you to check out. One of them is an interview he did with a neighbor (customer) who came in for the swap.

Once you get things swapped over, please remember to let me know how you like it! Do you have your first trip planned with the new rig, if so where are you headed?
