Solution for Hitch for 2008 Audi A4 Avant 2.0T Quattro

Updated 11/05/2025 | Published 01/25/2025

Question:

Reading a lot online about this and want to clarify. I have 2008 Audi A4 Avant 2.0T Quattro. So as I understand there are 2 holes pre drilled near the wheel well where the Curt 11180 bolts into vertically. Is this accurate? Also is this hitch still being produced or can it he custom ordered if out of production? If this is not the hitch for my car what else can I use and how does it install. Just want to carry a mountain bike and no towing. Thanks.

Hey Bharat! The Curt 11180 was discontinued a few years ago. I'm sorry to say this isn't something we have in stock or that we can special order. It looks like some online retailers still have this in stock so I would run a general search for "Curt 11180" and see what you can find. The only other option is to have a custom hitch fabricated locally using the # E-9.

Hey Bharat, were you able to track down a Curt 11180 or go with a custom hitch using the combo bar instead? Knowing what worked could help others trying to add a bike rack to their A4 Avant.

@RobinH Hi I ended up getting a 11164 but nobody wants to install it because curt says its only good through 2007. Well that same chassis ran through 2008 as the last year. Curt has been contacted but they are just boneheads with no common sense. I'll be installing it my self this December and getting 1up to carry my bikes.
