Will the Curt Front Hitch Work w/ a Ranch Hand Brush Guard on a 2010 Ford F-150?

Updated 11/03/2025 | Published 01/12/2025

Question:

Is the Curt C31068 front hitch for an F150 comparable with a Ranch Hand front brush guard? I have the Ranch Hand on my truck but am looking to add a front receiver for bikes, coolers or maybe a motorcycle. The Ranch hand lower mounts are to the tow hook mounts under the frame and tge Curt installation guide shows it mounting to the outside edge of the frame. So the mounting locations look like they would work together but it looks like the lower cross bar on the Ranch Hand could be at the same height as the Curt receiver, but I can’t tell for sure. Thanks!

No, I am sorry Aaron it is not. We get these questions often and the Ranch Hand brush guards occupy the same space as most front hitches. The Curt Front Hitch item # C31068 is designed to fit the 2010 Ford F-150 with the stock front end.

My only solution is to find a local fabricator and use the Gen-Y Weld-On 2" Receiver Tube -item # 325-GH-002 and make a custom front hitch.

Hey Aaron, did you end up having a fabricator make a custom front hitch using the Gen-Y receiver tube? Knowing how that worked with your Ranch Hand guard could really help others looking for the same setup.
