Question:

Hello, Im looking to replace my trailer tire on my travel trailer. What trailer tires do you recommend? 235/75R15, tandem axle. What is the difference between ST and LT tires?, which should I run? Thanks

Hey Ron that is a big tire! I recommend the Kenda ST235/75R15 Radial Off-Road Trailer Tire item # KE68JR. This is a load range D tire with a maximum capacity of 2,860 lbs at 65 psi. It has a max speed of 99 mph.

I really like the Kenda Tire item # KE68JR because it offers the highest speed rating of 99mph and has a 5 year limited warranty which protects against defects in manufacturing. Trailers typically sit for long periods of time, so I find the longer warranty better protects you as many tires only offer a 1 year warranty.

Special Trailer (ST) tires are built for trailers, so they are designed for heavy loads with stronger side walls. Light Truck (LT) tires are designed for passenger comfort and traction.

Hey Ron, how did the Kenda ST235/75R15 tires work out on your travel trailer? Did the ride and handling meet your expectations? Your feedback could help others choosing between ST and LT tires.
