What is Max Wheelbase Bike that Hollywood Racks RV Rider # HLY64FR Can Fit

Question:

To grab the seat post on both my bikes the center mast that grabs the seat post will put the distance from the center post to the from axle at about 36inch which puts the max distance between the front axles front axle of the inside bike to the front axle the the outside bike at about 72. Will this rack accomadate this and how far out will the center of the front tire craddles go relative to the center support mast? Thanks

Hey Brian, so there's a chance the Hollywood Racks RV Rider part # HLY64FR will work for you but we need to know your wheelbase as well. The wheelbase is the distance between the axle centers of the bikes basically. This has a max wheelbase it can work with of 60 inches.

Hopefully that works as that's one of our longer wheelbase options. We also have the Swagman XC Extended part # S64650-EXT which has a max wheelbase of 69 inches.

Both my bike have a wheel base samller than 60". I think the better demension that I need to know if my bikes will fit is the distance between the center mast and the furthest out I can move the wheel craddle? Does Hollywood have any detailed demenional drawing that they could share? Thanks.

@Brian So what I am understanding so far is that from the center of the seat post to one of the axles is 36 inches? And you are wanting to make sure that would fit on the # HLY64FR? If so, and your wheel base is less than 60 inches this will work as the frame clamps of the rack are offset enough from the center of the rack that it would fit.
