Question:
I looking at a front mounted, 2 inch receiver electric winch snow plow with 3 positions. Is there a mounting kit that will fit a Ford Ranger 1999, 4wd, V6, Super Cab, Off Road Model with P245/75R16 Tires??? If the front crossmember doesnt allow for a kit to work, I have a local fabricator that is capable of welding/ fabricating things so that it will fit appropriately. Please let me know what you think. Thanks! Jon J.

Hey Jon, the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # K2STOR8422 you're looking at is not going to work with that front crossmember, but what you can do instead is use the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RVs # C13702 which is a universal hitch.
This hitch can be bolted or welded on, has a 5,000 lb GTW capacity, and includes all the mounting hardware needed for install.

Hey Jon, how did things go with the universal hitch option for your Ranger? It sounds like the adjustable-width design might have worked well with your fabricator’s help. Sharing how it turned out could help others with similar setups.
