7-Way to 4-Way Adapter Recommendation for a 2013 Audi Q7

Question:

Hi, I have the factory installed tow package on my 2013 Audi Q7. I removed the plate next to the hitch on the car and there is a 7 pin socket. I was told at U-haul that I need an adapter from a 7 way to a 4 way. The ones at UHaul that they thought would work did not fit. Can you please let me know which product I may buy from you that will fit my q7? Thank you!

The 7-way to 4-way adapter you would want for your 2013 Audi Q7 would be the 7-Way to 5-Way and 4-Way Trailer Adapter for VW, Audi and Porsche Towing Trailers with LED Lights # C35FR.

This adapter is specifically designed to be used on Audis like yours and should work very well.

I tried this adapter for our Audi, but this adapter doesn't match the connector from the factory and I had to return it. Perhaps you have an updated recommendation.

Can you tell me what type of factory connector you have on your Audi? The above-mentioned adapter would plug into a 7-Way connector.

@JoshT Yes, the Hopkins 7- and 4-Pole Connector # HM40975 will plug right into the factory US Car connector port behind the bumper of your Audi. The Adapter # C35FR you originally referenced would hook up to an actual 7-Way connector, not directly to the US Car connector.
