Troubleshooting A Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Control Knob That Won't Activate Manual Override

I purchased the Redarc Tow Pro Liberty from Etrailer and installed in in my 2019 Nissan Pathfinder. I used one of the blank switch covers and installed the gain controller through it. Everything works but I can’t activate the brake override with the dial on. If I take the dial off it pushes and turns the LED red so it works without the dial on but not with it on. Any idea why this is happening?

Hi Chris,
The control knob on your Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED53CR likely is being stopped by blank cover you used. It must be just thin enough that you could get the some of the threads from the mounting nut to catch but not enough to have that center pin that the control knob presses on compress enough before it touches the blank. Did you use one of the factory blanks or did you use a specific Redarc replacement blank? If you used the factory blank you'll probably just need to trim the blank a bit thinner.
