Does this vent close automatically when it rains?

Hi Annee; the MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent # MA00-07500K does not close automatically when it rains since it does not have a rain sensor. However, the vent has a built-in rain shield so this is not necessary. The rain shield blocks rainwater and other precipitation so it can't enter the vent to damage anything. The vent can be operated in any weather.
