How Does Top of Lippert 360 Siphon RV Vent Cap Attach to Base

Question:
I have this vent installed on a new RV. I need to remove to check the vent pipe connection. Does the top part of the vent remove from the screwed down base. I so how? Is it a snap fit?

Hey Thomas, when you install the Lippert 360 Siphon RV Vent Cap for Black Water Holding Tanks # LC389380 the top attaches to the base with a sealant. So it's more or less a friction fit that you use a sealant to completely attach.
