Height Of The Ark Xtreme Off-Road Jack From The Frame To Ground At Lowest Setting
Updated 12/15/2025 | Published 11/17/2024 >
Question:
Interested in an ark trailer jack. Trying to figure out if one might work for my purposes. How is the bracket height measured? Is this bottom of bracket to ground or top of bracket to ground? Assuming bottom of bracket the lowest one will be about 12 inches from ground to frame. I would like to find a heavy-duty jack for my hydraulic chute trailers but need about 10 inches from ground to frame. Any suggestions? And yes, I am considering 2 jacks one to hook and unhook and one to push them around on or simply replacing the wheels with the Ark wheels since I have beefed up the jacks and they hold up fairly well, but the plastic China tires break constantly.

Hey Rod,
The Ark Xtreme Off-Road Jack w/ 2 Wheels # ARK99FR has multiple slots in the outer tube of the jack that the mounting bracket can slot into. In the bottom slot you'd be right around 9-1/2" between the ground and frame with the wheels on and inner tube fully retracted. You can extend the inner tube of the jack to reach the 10" exactly or go up a slot you'll be about 10-1/2".
This has a 1,100lb capacity so you'll want to doublecheck the tongue weight of the chute trailers or like you said add a second jack to increase the capacity.
