Compatibility of Stowmaster Tow Bar with Roadmaster # 521190-1 Base Plates for 2013 Honda Fit

Question:
I am purchasing a stowmaster base plate kit for my 2013 Honda Fit because i already have a stowmaster 5000 tow bar i currentky use to tow a 1990 Honda Civic but looking at pictures of the Fit base plate bracket makes me think my current tow bar will not hookup. When did Roadmaster change the Stowmaster design? Are there adapters to use so my 2 year old towbar can still be used?

The Roadmaster # 521190-1 Base Plates you referenced are a correct fit for your 2013 Honda Fit. For reference I have linked an installation video for this item on a 2012 Fit. The Stowmaster tow bar is fully and directly compatible with these EZ base plates.
For reference I have linked an article on flat-towing.
