Question:
I would like to replace my trailer brakes on my Smittybilt Scout Trailer. They are electric self adjusting measuring 2.25 brake pad and 10 wide. They do have a parking brake lever on the back. I can send you pictures and just want to make sure to get the right ones. The manual does recommend genuine Axletek replacement brake parts

Hello Jose, thanks for reaching out. What I recommend for your are the Dexter Electric Trailer Brakes # K23-086-087-00. These are the standard 10" x 2.25" brakes and they are parking brake compatible. The Dexter brakes use the same 4 bolt brake flange as the Axletek brakes so they are interchangeable.
We do carry 10"x2-1/4" brakes from Axletek, part # AKEBRK-35-SA but these are not parking brake compatible.

Hey Jose, how did the Dexter electric trailer brakes work out on your Smittybilt Scout trailer? It’d be great to hear if the parking brake setup matched up well with your original Axletek brakes. Your update could make it easier for the next person with the same issue.
