How to Test if Lippert Motor 1101422 is Bad

Question:
how can I test the 1101422 step curved motor? Dont know if it is the motor or the gearbox. Have the motor out

Hey George,
Try connecting the red wire from the motor to 12V power and the yellow wire to a ground to see if the motor starts running. If it does then you need a new gearbox, but if it doesn't then that means you need to replace the motor with part # LC379147.

Hey George, how did your test go with the red and yellow wires on the step motor? Knowing whether the motor ran or not could really help others figure out if their issue is with the motor or gearbox too.
