Hey Rob, great question!
The best style of chain for mud is going to be the bigger square-style, similar to what we see with the Titan Chain Alloy Tire Chains w Cams # TC2216SCAM. Different styles are better for digging into ice or traction in snow, but square links are the best for mud.
