Hi Sage; I would be happy to help you find the right parts to flat tow your 2018 Hyundai Elantra. Assuming you have the manual transmission, you will need a base plate, tow bar, safety cables, wiring, and a supplemental brake system. If you have the automatic transmission, you will have to use a tow dolly # RM-2050-1 or # DM9713045. Make sure to consult your owner's manual to confirm this information. For the manual transmission I recommend the following:

-Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # RM-521636-5 (if you have the GT without adaptive cruise control you need # RM-521638-5 instead)

-Roadmaster Nighthawk All-Terrain Tow Bar w/ LED Lights # RM-676 (includes safety cables and part of wiring)

-Roadmaster Accessory Kit for Nighthawk Tow Bars # RM-9284-2 (completes wiring and includes locks and cover)

-Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo Flat Tow Brake System for RVs w/ Hydraulic Brakes # SM99251

OR

-Demco Air Force One Flat Tow Brake System for RVs w/ Air Brakes # SM99243

You need to choose the brake system based on the brakes your 2002 Itasca Suncruiser has. More than likely you will also need a high-low adapter. I attached a help article below which explains how to measure, along with a link to all of our available high-low adapters for your reference.

Hey Sage, how did things go getting your 2018 Elantra ready to tow behind your Itasca Suncruiser? I’m curious which setup you ended up using—flat towing with the base plate and Nighthawk tow bar or the tow dolly option. Your update could make it easier for others planning a similar setup.
