Question:

Suspension Question: 2018 Ford flex Limited awd Skipping the air suspension would you please advise me what I should have to be able to carry heavy loads in the back and also to safely tow. As a side question to you have any beefier rear anti-sway bars that would work? thank you

Hello Kevin, thanks for reaching out. An air suspension kit like the Air Lift # AL60821 is a great option for the 2018 Ford Flex Limiterd AWD since it allows for adjustability. If you want to skip over that, the next best option is the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TFRFLX. These will help to support the rear end by reducing sagging and improving stability. They have a 3,000 lb capacity so they will make a noticeable difference. The only downside of Timbrens is they can make the ride a bit rough when you are not towing. Still a good suspension enhancement option.

Sadly, we do not offer any aftermarket sway bar options for the 2018 Ford Flex. The sway bars we carry are mostly for trucks and RVs.

Hi Jesse, Thank you very much for the reply and suggestions. Has air suspension improved greatly , or not, where cold whether wouldnt effect its performance?

@KevinG Good question. Air temperature changes will always affect the PSI inside the air bag. This is true for anything that holds air like tires for example. Basically you will lose/gain 1 PSI for every 10 degrees of temperature change. This is something to keep in mind as the seasons change. Cold weather will not effect the performance so long as the PSI stays consistent.
