Hello Al.

I am sorry to hear that you got the JR Products Horizontal Low Pressure 2-Stage RV LP Gas Regulator # 37207-30385 installed and it hasn't fixed your issue. First I would check and make sure the regulator is installed correctly, you need to make sure the vent is facing down (I am attaching a picture so you can see the where the vent is on the bottom). If the regulator is installed correctly you are going to want to check your gas hoses for any leaks, you can do this by spraying soapy water to see if it bubbles anywhere, or you could purchase a Camco Propane Cylinder Gas Gauge and Leak Detector # CAM59023, this device will let you know if there is a leak anywhere. If there is not a leak and everything is installed correctly, it could very well be a faulty regulator.

installation is not the problem. i am aware of how to install it. the reason i needed to change regulators was because mine was slowly leaking. after the new unit didn't work, i removed the POL connection, put yellow teflon on both ends & reinstalled the old unit. it works the way it should without leaks. in my previous message, i asked if this unit would fit my motorhome & you didn't answer that question. my concern was: the new jr unit has an excess flow feature, my current unit doesn't. would that make any difference? thanks al

@Al Unfortunately, there is not a standard when it comes to parts and what goes onto what campers. The excess flow feature is a safety device that limits the flow of propane in the event of a leak or rupture in a propane system. If your last regulator was not pushing out the propane, it's because the safety feature was in play as it detected a leak. It definitely sounds like you have a leak in the connectors or the hoses, or it could be a leak in one of the appliances. Before you changed out the regulator were you having the same issue with the small flame? Or before you changed it out was there not gas at all going to the appliances?

reason i changed the original regulator was because we smelled propane. while checking for a leak, i found some small bubbles around the POL connector. i ordered the new regulator & installed it. when it didn't work properly, i removed it. then i removed the POL connector from the OLD regulator, cleaned it up & re-installed the POL connector with yellow teflon. now it doesn't leak, all applianes work (same as before) and no propane smell.

@Al I just want to confirm that I am reading that correctly, do you have everything working as it should, propane is back to a normal flow and appliances are working properly?
