Question:
Hello. I just had my surge break actuator replaced on my 2012 venture boat trailer The trailer shop installed a Dexter DX6.6 disc brake actuator formerly Model 660E. I was extremely disappointed that the new one did not have an electric lockout solenoid. My old actuator did have one. Is it possible to add an electric lockout to my new surge brake actuator? Do you have one that is compatible?

Hey Don,
You can just install the Electric Lockout Solenoid # T4748800 between the actuator and brake line in order to get an electric lockout so you can back up your trailer without the brakes engaging.

Hey Don, how did adding the electric lockout solenoid to your Dexter actuator work out on your boat trailer? Your update could make it easier for others trying to back up without their brakes engaging.
